New Well Drilled

Updated: Mar 26

Mauer Well Service drilled the anticipated water well at the Huntington Lane island on March 25, 2025.

The crew first deployed mats to protect the landscaping underneath. A pair of hydraulic jacks lifted the drilling rig to make it level. A second truck carrying the pipe to line the new well also provided water to the drilling rig.

The crew set up a drill bit and a mud box to receive the debris. Enhanced water was piped down the hole to ease the drilling and to keep the side walls from collapsing. It overflowed into a mud box, which filled with the combined debris and water. Then the crew scooped the gravelly detritus from the mud box with shovels and tossed it onto the ground as the water recirculated back into the hole.

Meanwhile, some slurry deliberately overspilled onto the site. Pipes for lining the hole suggest the targeted depth was 120 to 140 feet.

Then I had to depart. Final results to follow.
