Signs of Spring

Mulch and snow announced the first day of Spring 2025.

A semi-truck delivered another dump trailer full of mulch inside the Adams Road gate. Soon the crew from New Generation Landscaping and Lawn will be sprucing up the neighborhood with a fresh backround of mulch. Meanwhile, a robust wind drove a mix of snow and sleet as temperatures hovered around the freezing mark.

Yes, it is definitely a March 20 type of day.

The first day of spring, known as the vernal equinox, is the moment when the sun's apparent path along the ecliptic crosses over the celestial equator from the south celestial hemisphere to the north celestial hemisphere. The midday sun is getting higher each day, and warmer weather ensues.
