Ready for Flag Day

Old Glory is flying in KPVillas in anticipation of Flag Day on Friday, June 14, 2024. Seven neighbors purchased new flags and/or flag poles through a neighborhood initiative to restore display of the US flag. Many flags have also reappeared as residents returned from winter retreats.

Per Wikipedia, "In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day. On August 3, 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress. "
