The irrigation system at Covington island is now fully functioning. KPVillas dug a new well, wired a new pump into the guardhouse panel, buried some new pipe lines, and tapped into the existing underground infrastructure to get the water flowing again.

The new system services both the island and the landscaping in front of the entrance walls. Previously the water had been purchased annually from Knollwood Country Club, but KCC cut off the supply to KPVillas as they had irrigation issues of their own.

The Covington island well is the second installation to be controlled and maintained by the homeowners. The first site at the Huntington island became operational in October 2025. Both were funded through the existing budget with neither an increase in annual fees nor a special assessment. KPVA homeowners will need to decide how to proceed with existing circumstances at the remaining islands.
