Snowplowing Improvements

The snowplowing contractor has responded favorably and significantly to comments made by KPVillas homeowners about snow removal. With the next snowfall in 2026, residents will see new specialized equipment in force.

Over the years, multiple contractors have deployed front end loaders, Bobcats, truck-mounted plows, snow blowers, small plows, and hand-shoveling to clear the snow. Invariably, all techniques have upsides and shortcomings alike.

New Generation Landscaping and Lawn began this season using a blade that cleaned the driveways well, but some people complained about scrape marks on their concrete. The contractor responded by buying box wing side attachments that lifted the blade slightly, but some people complained about the resulting veneer of snow remaining on their driveway. Multiple armchair quarterbacks weighed in on how they believed someone else should be moving a foot of snow.

In an impressive commitment to customer satisfaction, New Generation has invested in four BOSS Snowrator plows, each with a 48-inch blade and a zero-turn radius. An operator stands on the back of the unit and can manipulate the blade in tighter spaces.

Thanks go to New Generation Landscaping and Lawn for their commitment to ensuring KPVillas residents receive quality service. Pedro Rocio, owner of New Generation, noted his company will meet the expectations of his client. If an HOA wants everything hand-shoveled, for example, he will deliver that service. However, with the added labor come commensurate costs to pass on, and the KPVillas Board has strived to keep expenses low.

A mid-January snowfall is moving in. Look for the new equipment to debut soon.
